Discover Mendoza
All over the country (and in much of the world), the name Mendoza is synonymous with wine, and this is the place to base yourself if you’re up for touring the vineyards, taking a few dozen bottles home or just looking for a good bottle to accompany dinner. A bustling city of wide, leafy avenues, atmospheric plazas and cosmopolitan cafés, Mendoza is a trap.
Even if you’ve (foolishly) only given it a day or two on your itinerary, you’re bound to end up hanging around, captivated by the laid-back pace while surrounded by every possible comfort. Give yourself time to linger in Mendoza’s cafes, plazas, and many fantastic restaurants. This is a city that lives life outdoors, with many public places, cafes, and street-side restaurants that bustle from noon to night. This is a great place to organize rafting, skiing and other adventures in the nearby Andes.

City tour in Mendoza
We will pick you up to head for the most important and interesting places of Mendoza city.
We will start the tour visiting the Foundational Area, the oldest side of the city. The following place will be Independencia Square, situated at the main point of down town considering the location of other nearby squares. We will continue the trip visiting the General San Martin Park, which is one of the most important artificial parks in Argentina, not only for its huge extension but also for the proximity to the city. Actually, it has 307 green hectares, 17 kilometers to go, and 821 hectares in expansion. We will finish the trip visiting the Cerro de la Gloria’s Monument, which has an amazing and panoramic view of the city.
Day 2: Mendoza
Full day at Vineyards in Luján de Cuyo with Lunch
We will begin in the morning visiting the vineyards and the winery Achaval Ferrer. This small winery, whose wines get every year scores highest in Wine Spectator, is located along the Rio Mendoza. Only red wines produced in limited items.
Then we will leave for Nicolás Catena’s winery, Catena Zapata, perhaps one of the most surprising constructions in the area due to its form, similar to a Mayan pyramid. We will visit the winery and we will taste its best wines in a room surrounded by casks.
Lunch at Ruca Malen. We will visit the Ruca Malen vineyards owned by Jean Pierre Thibaud. We will taste its wines and we will eat regional food for lunch, specially prepared by a chef, in a dining room where the landscape of the mountain range can be appreciated through its large windows.
Day 3: Mendoza
Rafting in Mendoza river
We will leave Mendoza City to head for Potrerillos, a mountain village surrounded by a wonderful landscape and an impressive dam which takes its name.
Each passenger will have their own neoprene suit, life vest, and helmet. After a security instruction talk, we will go into the river to start the adventure of our lives.
