On this full day tour outside Puerto Iguazú, you will learn about the famous Jesuit Order and mission of 1632, which aimed to spread Christianity among Argentine indigenous tribes during the Spanish colonial period. Then, you will also explore the Wanda Mines and their shiny crystals and gemstones. Departing from your hotel in Puerto Iguazú, we will travel 250 Km south approximately before reaching San Ignacio, a partially reconstructed Jesuit Mission. We spend time walking around the site and reconstructing history and the lifes of the people 350 years ago. On the way back to Puerto Iguazú, we make a stop in Wanda Mines site to get a closer look at the gemstones that formed in the area such as agates and quartz, nowadays used to produce jewelry. A local guide will explain the formation process of the minerals in exhibition. Full day tour (from 8 to 7 pm). Departures on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays.
